Rewrite the dream. Face what follows.

A turn-based traditional roguelike set in the subconscious. Explore shifting dreams, rewrite descriptions of reality, build sentences from equipment, and make environmental reactions part of your tactics.

Single-player · Procedural exploration · English & Chinese · Free

Play in your browser

Use the Run game button above to begin without installing anything. A desktop browser and keyboard are recommended. The first load downloads the runtime; start with the layer 0 tutorial to learn movement, observation and environmental interaction.

Rewrite the sentence

Open the tamper panel on a nearby target, then choose words, conditions and degree. The preview shows the revised sentence, the imagination cost and the chaos it adds before you commit. A wall may crack instead of vanish. A passage may open. A line of dialogue may take a different turn. This is not free-form typing: the game offers targets, words and conditions, and you decide whether the trade is worth it.

English desktop recording: choose a word, preview the cost, then confirm the edit in a generated combat map.

Build a sentence from your gear

Equipment goes onto an 8×6 association board, not into slots. Position is meaning: the same object can act as a condition, a carrier, a modifier or an action depending on its column. Function words such as and, or, if and else connect the pieces. Read the resulting sentence, check the effect lines, then commit. Rotate, move and rebuild when the dream changes.

English desktop recording: pick up, move and rotate equipment, place AGAIN, then confirm the working sentence.

Make the environment part of the plan

Liquids flow, gases spread, and materials react on contact. Fire, electric fields and structural damage are tools as much as threats. A conductive puddle and an electric discharge can reach a target you cannot. A gas cloud and a spark can clear a room, or backfire. Reactions do not check whose side you are on.

Staged in-engine simulation: ignition, explosion, fire spread, then electric-field activation. Turns are paced for demonstration.

Descend into deeper dreams

Explore generated rooms, caves, corridors and mazes. Discover anomalous sites, meet wandering characters, collect memories and enter dreams within dreams. Adjust your build as unfamiliar situations challenge the approach that brought you this far.

Install

Browser: press Run game. If loading stalls, refresh once; later visits should use the browser cache.

Desktop:

  1. Download the English package for your system, then extract the whole archive. Keep assets/ and vendor/ next to the launcher.
  2. Windows: run Oneirscript.exe. Linux: run launch-game.sh (or Oneirscript).
  3. Use the bundled WezTerm for the intended fonts and display. The included compatibility launchers (launch-compat) work with other terminals.
  4. Begin in the layer 0 tutorial. Open the full control list from the side panel. Back up saves before updating.

Free, with an optional donation

Available now: Windows x64, Linux x64, macOS Apple Silicon (arm64), and macOS Intel. Downloads on this page start in English; the in-game language can be changed in Settings.

The corresponding source archive is also available. Project-owned code is GPL-3.0-only; fonts, audio and third-party components retain their own licenses.

Version 0.1.0

The first public build. Content, balance, interfaces and English wording are still being refined, and 0.x saves may not survive updates. For bug reports, include the version, operating system, terminal or browser, and reproduction steps. Check saves and logs for personal information before sharing.
